Rick Barry is a 1976 graduate of the University
of Missouri School of Law. Upon graduation, Rick
served as a law clerk to the Honorable J.P.
Morgan of the Missouri Supreme Court. Rick is
former Assistant Chief Trial Attorney with the
St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office under
George “Buzz” Westfall. As an Assistant
Prosecuting Attorney Rick tried over one hundred
felony jury trials.
Rick has been in private practice for over
thirty years. He has obtained successful results
in hundreds of cases in State and Federal Court.
Many of these were on behalf of firefighters,
paramedics, and police officers. Rick
concentrates his practice in labor and
employment law, personal injury, and workers’
compensation. Rick is one of only a few
attorneys in this region specializing in
representing first responders and their
families.
Rick is a member of the Missouri Association of
Trial Attorneys (MATA), the Bar Association of
Missouri St. Louis (BAMSL), University of
Missouri Alumni Association, United States naval
Academy Blue and Gold Association, and the
Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
